ENVIRONMENTAL RESEARCH
Common Ground students and staff recognize out site as a rich laboratory for environmental research.  At the high school, many of our courses involve primary research about agricutlural, forested, and urban landscapes.  We welcomed partners from other educational institutions to take on scientific work on the site.  Contact Oliver Barton, NHEP director, if you are interested in pursuing research on our site.

Environmental Justice
In 2006, with the support of the Environmental Protection Agency, Common Ground students undertook a major research project focused on air quality, water quality, and environmental justice on our site and in the greater New Haven area.  Based on this research, students presented to community members, other students, and on public access television.  Download a powerpoint presentation sharing their research
